UX and UI Designer
UX
Design refers to the term User Experience Design, while UI Design
stands for User Interface Design. Both elements are crucial to a product
and work closely together. But despite their professional relationship,
the roles themselves are quite different, referring to very different
parts of the process and the design discipline. User experience (UX)
refers to any interaction a user has with a product or service. UX
design considers each and every element that shapes this experience, how
it makes the user feel, and how easy it is for the user to accomplish
their desired tasks. UI design is the look and feel, the presentation
and the interactivity of a product.
- Familiarize yourself with UI principles.
Before
practicing design, the first thing you need to do is learn some design
principles. From this, you’ll be able to enter the design world and
start thinking “creatively”. You will learn the psychological aspects of
design: why it can look good and why it can fail.
- Learn the creative UX process.
The
next thing is to understand the creative process. UI/UX design is a
process of specific phases that every creative person goes through.
- Develop your eye for design
Knowing
design principles is great, but sometimes it’s not enough, you also
have to train your eye to see good design and bad design and to identify
strengths and weaknesses in designs.
- Read design articles everyday
To make ourselves get familiar with design, the best way is to read a few articles each day.
WEB DESIGNER
It's
a web designer's responsibility to construct the overall look and feel
of a website, using images, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to do so.
Designers are typically creative in nature, and have a knack for picking
aesthetically pleasing color palettes.
- Visual Design
A
web designer will often thrive if his visual designing skills are
advanced. Visual design is the art of choosing the proper design
principles to improve the look and enhance the feel of the site. It’s
closely linked to user experience, only that it’s more related to the
kinesthetic elements.
- Print Design Skills
Nowadays,
the digital environment is definitely the most effective way to improve
your website’s traffic. However, some companies and clients are looking
for web designers that are able to design offline marketing campaigns.
- Resourcefulness
Kobe
Johnson, an expert web designer at Superior Papers, notes that “The
resourcefulness of any web professional will directly influence its
results and career.
- Communication Skills
Communication
skills are an asset that every professional (regardless of its field)
should strive to develop. As a web designer, you must be able to
effectively convey your technical information into clear language, so
you and your client can discuss, work, and be on the same page.
